Thai Embassy hosts Greening of Industry NetworkAsia luncheon.

January 18, 2000 - The Royal Embassy of Thailand in the United States hosted a luncheon to show support for the Greening of Industry Network � Asia, which is headquartered in Bangkok.

Ambassador Nitya Pibulsonggram presided over the event and joined the keynote speaker, Chandran Nair, CEO of Environmental Resources Management in Hong Kong, in wishing the Network success with its upcoming international conference in Bangkok (January 22-26, 2001).

Attendees included representatives from the Washington embassies of Indonesia, Japan, Netherlands, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. Senior U.S. government representatives included Deputy Administrator of USAID Harriet C. Babbitt, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the State Department's East Asian and Pacific Affairs Ralph L. Boyce, and Assistant Administrator for EPA's Office of International Activities William Nitze. The 90 participants also included senior corporate and foundation officials.
