Before the Clouds Gather: Protecting Clean Air in Vietnam

A comprehensive review of air quality in Vietnam, this new US-AEP publication explores the country's current air quality status and provides an overview of Vietnam's efforts to avoid the "brown cloud" hanging over many Asian cities.

CSG'S State Environmental Initiative Grant Awards

The Council of State Governments (CSG) announces Environmental Partnership Grants to five states under the State Environmental Initiative (SEI) program. The SEI grants of nearly $620,000 will support the environmental initiatives of California, Minnesota, Maryland, Oklahoma and Oregon to address critical environmental issues in India, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam. The states provide matching contributions of more than $780,000, making the total value of projects over $1.4million.

CSG Launches Environmetal Projects in Asia for 2004

In February 2004, the Council of State Governments' State Environmental Initiative (CSG/SEI) worked with the US-AEP field offices in launching the following SEI grant projects in Asia.
