Former Electrician Develops Malignant Mesothelioma

Charleston, West Virginia – A man is suing a number of U.S. corporations over his malignant mesothelioma diagnosis.

Jerry Henderson, of Colorado Springs, has filed a suit against 138 businesses he believes are responsible for his fatal cancer. The suit was filed in the circuit court of Kanawha County on 6th September. According to the suit, the plaintiff was diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma on 24th March.

Henderson believes his cancer was exclusively caused by his occupational asbestos exposure because he was not a smoker. He says he suffered significant asbestos exposure during his employment between 1954 and 1979.

According to the lawsuit, the defendant companies caused the plaintiff to be exposed regularly to asbestos as well as asbestos-containing products while he had been working as an electrician and a laborer. Henderson says the defendants knew or should’ve known of the hazards of asbestos exposure.

Henderson accuses the defendants of negligence, breach of express warranty, strict liability, breach of implied warranty, conspiracy, fraudulent misrepresentations, failure to warn, and intentional tort. He is demanding a jury trial.
